We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Words of Greeting
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And also with you.
Prayer For Illumination
Almighty God, who has sent Your transforming power through the Holy Spirit into our lives as we seek to serve You, open our hearts to Your Word today so that we may be and walk in Your Word this week, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
(Remember the presentation of your tithes and offerings to God are a positive and personal manifestation of worship.
In support of the ministry of the church, please remember to respond
to the love of God in your life by offering yourself and your gift
out of gratitude for the innumerable blessings we have received from God.)

Call To Worship (From Psalm 34)
At all times I will bless the Lord, whose praise shall ever be in my mouth.
I will glory in the Lord; let the humble hear and rejoice.
Proclaim with me the greatness of the Lord; let us exalt the name of the Lord together.
I sought the Lord, who answered me and delivered me out of all my terror.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are they who trust in the Lord.
Prayer Of Confession
We turn to You, Father God, knowing that those who take refuge in Your care will not be condemned. You know our need for reform and renewal. Deliver us from our fears and lift the deep shadow of our sins, that we may appear radiant in the light of Your presence. Bless us and fashion us to lead lives worthy of the calling to which You call us. Give voice to Your church on earth, that we may invite our neighbors to taste and see that You, O Lord, are good, and to assure them that You redeem the lives of Your servants, through Jesus Christ our Savior.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession
Along with the early church Thessalonians, we have turned from idols to serve a living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven. (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)
Yet we know our transgressions and sin are ever before us. Against You, You alone, have we sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified in Your sentence and blameless in Your judgment. (Psalm 51:3-4)
Indeed, we were born guilty and must confess our sins praying.....
God has shown you what is good. What does the Lord require of you?
To do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.
Blessed are You, O God, maker of all things. Through your goodness You have blessed us with these gifts: ourselves, our time, and our possessions. Use us, and what we have gathered, in feeding the world with Your love; through the One who gave Himself for us, Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. Amen.
