Assurance Of Forgiveness
But God, Who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
So that in the ages to come He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:4-8)
We believe the good news: through Christ Jesus our sins are forgiven.

And also with you.
Prayer For Illumination
Inspiring Holy Spirit, again today open our hearts to the Scriptures so that we may truly understand your word to us today, in the name of Jesus.     Amen.
Sermon -   "Ongoing Thanksgiving"       Rev Dr Jim Moran
Call To Worship
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come into His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord is God. It is He that made us, and we are His;
We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
And His faithfulness to all generations.  (Psalm 100)
Prayer Of Confession
O Lord, our God and King: We bow our hearts in adoration of Your Son, who stooped low to meet us in our dreadful state, bore upon Himself all our humiliation and degradation so that we might be whole; and has been raised into glory by the power of Your Spirit, where He reigns with You as King of kings and Lord of lords. Yet we confess that we have not followed His example. Rather than laying down our lives for others in gratitude for all You have done for us, we have pursued self-advancement and preservation. Forgive us for paying mere lip service to the reign of our Lord Jesus Christ. Empower us by the Holy Spirit to live according to the life and teaching of Jesus by laying down our lives in love, to Your honor and glory forever, in Jesus’ name.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession
The Apostle Paul writes, “You were dead through the trespasses and sins in which you once lived, following the course of this world, following the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work among those who are disobedient.
All of us once lived among them in the passions of our flesh, following the desires and senses, and we were by nature children of wrath, like everyone else.” (Ephesians 2:1-3)
But now, though we remain sinners, we have hope for forgiveness through confessing our sins. Let us pray.
God fills us with faith.
God fills us with the love and hope of Jesus.
Be the body of Christ and live thanksgiving.

Prayers of the People (Prayer requests are listed at the end of the bulletin.)
Prayer of Dedication
Almighty God, Who blessed us with the gift of creation and life, take our lives and use them to glory Your name. Take our gifts of thanksgiving and consecrate them to tell the good news of Jesus and His love.   Amen.
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Affirmation Of Faith - “The Apostles’  Creed”
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  Amen.
