Affirmation Of Faith- “A Brief Statement of Faith” (11.2)”
We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God. Jesus proclaimed the reign of God: preaching good news to the poor and release to the captives, teaching by word and deed and blessing the children, healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel. Unjustly condemned for blasphemy and sedition, Jesus was crucified, suffering the depths of human pain and giving his life for the sins of the world. God raised this Jesus from the dead, vindicating his sinless life, breaking the power of sin and evil, delivering us from death to life eternal.

Words of Greeting
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And also with you.
Prayer For Illumination
O Spirit of Christ, open our hearts to Your Word through this reading of the Bible so that we may glorify the Father, Son, and You, by our thoughts, words, and deeds this season of Christmas. Amen.
(Remember the presentation of your tithes and offerings to God are a positive and personal manifestation of worship.
In support of the ministry of the church, please remember to respond
to the love of God in your life by offering yourself and your gift
out of gratitude for the innumerable blessings we have received from God.)

Call To Worship(Psalm 148:13-14)
Let all people praise the name of the Lord,
For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven.
He has raised up a horn for His people, praise for all His faithful,
For the people of Israel who are close to Him. Praise the Lord!
Prayer Of Confession
O most holy and gracious God, we come to You in hope and with faithfulness that You will accept us and forgive our sins. Your love is freely given to all; yet we turn away from those who are different from us. You call us to follow Jesus; yet, our footsteps falter, our hearts grow weak, and our minds turn away from righteousness. You seek us in the jaws of evil, in the chaos of isolation. We risk not; we hope not; we love not. Cleanse us of our doubts. “Thy will be done,” not our own. Through Jesus Christ we pray.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession
We sin and therefore, say with the Psalmist, “Be mindful of Your mercy, O Lord, and of Your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.”
“Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your steadfast love remember me, for Your goodness’ sake, O Lord!” (Psalm 25:6-7)
Charge
May Jesus Christ be seared in our hearts for eternity by the love of God.
As God holds us close, let us hold close all God’s children.
O Lord God, we dedicate our lives to You in order to do what is good, what You require of us: to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with You, O God, in the name of the faithful Jesus. Amen.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
