I believe in God, the Father Almighty: Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the Holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer Of Confession
God of Life, You reveal yourself to us in ways and in places where we least expect to find You. Amidst the decay of death and the paralysis of fear, we discover Your bold and living presence among us, and begin to see just how good the story of our salvation really is. Yet, we turn away from You, refusing to acknowledge Your gracious presence among us. We prefer clinging to our fears to embracing Your hope. Forgive us for turning away from You. Captivate us with the Good News of Your sure salvation, through Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord. Cause our hearts to burn within us as we walk with Him, that we may declare with assurance and live in confidence that all is well, and all shall be well.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession
The Apostle Paul writes, “For if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His.
We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the sinful body might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
For He who died is freed from sin.” (Romans 6:5-7)
With such a promise in Christ, we humbly confess our sins, praying…
Charge and Benediction
Go from this time of worship to let the world know that death could not hold Jesus. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13) The Lord is risen!
Death-defeating God, we joyfully present these gifts to You this Easter. You have blessed us with so much -- this church, our families, and the faith by which we live. We humbly ask that You receive these gifts as a sign of our gratitude. Bless those who brought them, and bless those who will benefit from them. May all of our time, talent, and treasure share the Good News that Christ has risen and offers new life to a world whose hopes remain buried. We ask this in the name of the risen One, Jesus the Christ our Lord. Amen
