Assurance Of Forgiveness

If anyone does sin, we have our Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
And He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.  (1 John 2:1, 2)
My friends, believe the good news: the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins is enough.
Affirmation of Faith - “The Apostles’ Creed”

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Call To Worship  (Psalm 67:1-3, 7)

May God be gracious to us and bless us, and make His face to shine upon us,
That Your way may be known upon earth, Your saving power among all nations.
Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.
May God continue to bless us; let all the ends of the earth revere Him.
Prayer Of Confession

Almighty and eternal God, the strength of those who believe, and the hope of those who doubt: We confess that our faith is small, that we trust in our own devices more than in Your gracious promises to sustain us. Lord, increase our faith; quicken us amidst our unbelief. By Your Spirit grant us, who have not seen, yet seek to believe, the faith to receive the fullness of Christ’s blessings. Work in us and through us by the same Spirit that raised Him from the dead, to Your honor and glory, in the name of the Risen Lord.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In God’s great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. In the shadow of the Easter celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, we confess our sin together praying.…
Inhale the Holy Spirit anew.
Jesus sends me into the world in the power of the Holy Spirit with the gift of forgiveness.

Prayer of Dedication

O Lord, our God, we cried to You in our trouble and You heard us. We put our trust in You and have not been confounded. You have turned our heaviness into joy, and guided us with gladness. Therefore, we praise You with all our heart, and give thanks to Your holy name for ever. Hear us and accept us. May Your name be glorified through our lives, our gifts, and this body of Christ, through the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.

Prelude - “Ach Gott und Herr”  by J.G. Walther
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
