Assurance Of Forgiveness
Hear the good news! The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross so that we might be dead to sin and be alive to all that is good.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
Affirmation Of Faith - “The Confession of 1967” (Book of Confessions, 9.14-9.15)
God’s love never changes. Against all who oppose him, God expresses his love in wrath. In the same love, God took on himself judgment and shameful death in Jesus Christ, to bring men to repentance and new life. God’s sovereign love is a mystery beyond the reach of man’s mind. Human thought ascribes to God superlatives of power, wisdom, and goodness. But God reveals his love in Jesus Christ by showing power in the form of a servant, wisdom in the folly of the cross, and goodness in receiving sinful men. The power of God’s love in Christ to transform the world discloses that the Redeemer is the Lord and Creator who made all things to serve the purpose of his love.

Call To Worship  (Psalm 95:6-7)
OThe Lord is in His holy temple.
Let all the earth keep silence before Him.  (Habakkuk 2:20)
God is spirit,
And those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.  (John 4:24)
O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.
Prayer Of Confession
Most holy and merciful Father, we acknowledge and confess before Thee our sinful nature prone to evil and slothful in good and all our shortcomings and offenses. Thou alone knows how often we have sinned: in wandering from Thy ways, in wasting Thy gifts, and in forgetting Thy love. But Thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, who are ashamed and sorry for all wherein we have displeased Thee. Teach us to hate our sins, cleanse us from our secret faults, and forgive our sins, for the sake of Thy dear Son. And O most holy and loving Father; help us, we beseech Thee; to live in Thy light and walk in Thy ways, according to the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession (Psalm 51:10-12)
Create in us a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us.
Do not cast us from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from us.
Restore to us the joy of Your salvation
And grant us a willing spirit to sustain us. Let us confess our sins
Freed from the law and sin.
We are slaves of righteousness.
Present your members as slaves to righteousness.
We are slaves of God.

Prayer of Dedication
O God of grace, who has given us all the good that we are and have, we are thankful for food enough to be satisfied, shelter enough to feel safe, money enough to provide for our home, and love enough to feel beloved. Out of gratitude for the bounty we have, we give back to You and Your church for our ministry in providing worship, telling the story of Jesus, and sharing Your love to all we meet in the name of Jesus Christ and to Your glory. Amen.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
