We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

And also with you.
Prayer For Illumination
Sovereign Lord, may the words of the preacher’s mouth and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable to you, our Rock and our Redeemer, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
(Remember the presentation of your tithes and offerings to God are a positive and personal manifestation of worship.
In support of the ministry of the church, please remember to respond
to the love of God in your life by offering yourself and your gift
out of gratitude for the innumerable blessings we have received from God.)

Call To Worship (Psalm 31:1-3, 54)
In You, O Lord, I seek refuge; do not let me ever be put to shame; in Your righteousness deliver me.
Incline Your ear to me; rescue me speedily. Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me.
You are indeed my rock and my fortress; for Your name’s sake lead and guide me.
Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.
Prayer Of Confession
Gracious God, Your mercy and goodness have sustained us through sorrow, pain, and distress. You have healed and restored us. You have preserved and guided us. Forgive, O Lord, the ingratitude and self-centeredness that cause us to forget Your manifold goodness to us. Enable us, by Your Spirit, to live in a way that demonstrates our gratitude for all the blessings you have lavished upon us. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession (Romans 7:15-20)
We all stand with the Apostle Paul, who cried out in Romans: “I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.
Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. But in fact it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me.
For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it.
For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do.
Now if I do what I do not want,
It is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells within me.”
In the face of this hopeless situation, let us confess our sins in the name of Jesus Christ together, praying....
O most gracious heavenly Father, receive our gifts and our lives generously given out of gratitude for Your unconditional love we know in Jesus Your Son and our Lord. Use our gifts to be a blessing to others. Receive our lives to glorify Your name, in the name of the One who ultimately glorified You, Jesus the Messiah. Amen.
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
