Assurance Of Forgiveness
Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
They are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption, which is in Christ Jesus,
Whom God put forward as an expiation of His blood, to be received by faith. (Romans 3:23-25a)
The good news is that through Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
Affirmation Of Faith - “The Nicene Creed”
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.  Amen.

Call To Worship (From Psalm 34)
Give the king Your justice, O God.
That he may rule Your people righteously and the poor with justice.
In his time will righteousness flourish; there shall be abundance of peace till the moon shall be no more.
He shall rule from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth. (From Psalm 72)
 Prayer Of Confession
Eternal Wisdom, we acknowledge that all understanding and all life-giving counsel came from You and belongs to You. Your ways are always highest and best; yet, we have tried to fashion and follow our own way. We have clung to our darkness, rather than following Your light. Forgive our selfish waywardness. Help us by Your Spirit’s guidance to follow Your Son, the Light manifested to the world named Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession
From the Prophet Isaiah we learn about the Suffering Servant Who poured out Himself to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:12b, c) Another year has passed, and we still are sinners. Our hope for salvation rests solely in the Suffering Servant. Let us confess our sins together praying:.....
Make room for all the children of God, the widow, the orphan, the sojourner, the poor, and all who love our Lord Jesus.
God has made room for me at the table of our Lord; therefore, I have been fed, nourished, and brought new life for the New Year 2021.

Prayer of Dedication
Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, receive our lives given in gratitude to You for the blessings we have received from Your generous hand. As Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes to feed those hungry, bless our gifts given in love so that many more will be fed, given shelter, and become believers in the name of Jesus our Lord.      Amen.
