Words of Greeting
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And also with you.
Prayer For Illumination
Almighty God, to Whom all thoughts are known, cleanse the thoughts of our minds by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit so that we may be open to hear and understand Your Word through the Holy Scriptures, through Jesus our Lord. Amen.
(Remember the presentation of your tithes and offerings to God are a positive and personal manifestation of worship.
In support of the ministry of the church, please do not forget to respond to the love of God in your life by offering yourself and your gift out of gratitude for the innumerable blessings we have received from God. Please remember to give generously to the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering which supports the Presbyterian Hunger, Self-Development of People, and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Programs.)

Call To Worship (Psalm 138)
I give thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;
I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness;
For you have exalted your name and your word above everything.
One day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul.
All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
They shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord.
For though the Lord is high, He regards the lowly; but the haughty He perceives from far away.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve me against the wrath of my enemies;
You stretch out your hand, and your right hand delivers me.
The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me;
Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands.
Prayer Of Confession
Holy, Triune God, we confess that we have not lived for Your glory. You claim us as Your people, but we seek out other saviors. You welcome us into Your house, but we bring conflict and division into the house of our Lord. Forgive us, God of peace and grace. Restore and rebuild us so that we may be ready to live in the eternal home You promise, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession
The religious establishment in Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to question John the Baptist, “Who are you?”
John said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said. (John 1:23)
When John saw Jesus walking toward him, John said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)
Needing the Lamb of God to take away our sin, we confess our sins through His name, praying.....
We bring unto You, our Father, these, our gifts, our tithes, our offerings and our sacrifices. We pray that Your seal would be upon them as they are used in this community and throughout the world, through our Lord Jesus. Amen.
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

Choral Introit - “Choral Invocation”
(Composed by Stewart Landon) Chancel Choir
May you who enter here draw near to God,
Purge your own hearts of sin through Christ's shed blood;
To aid you on your way till shadows flee, And Christ you see in his eternal day.
Song Of Assurance
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be.
World without end. Amen, Amen.
