Assurance Of Forgiveness (Cf. Exodus 34:6-7: Romans 8:1)
God is slow to anger and full of compassion.
He forgives all who humbly repent and trust in his Son as Savior and Lord.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Affirmation Of Faith - “The Apostles’  Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen

Call To Worship (Matt 18:20)
Let’s pray together:
We need your presence on the long road, Lord.
The road between fear and hope,
the road between the place where all is lost
And the place of resurrection.
Like the disciples walking the road to Emmaus,
we are in need of your company!
Jesus, stand among us, in your risen power,
Let this time of worship, be a hallowed hour.
 Prayer Of Confession
Almighty God, we are unworthy of your redeeming grace. Often our belief in your promises and our trust in you are weakened. In the worldliness of our lives we sometimes fail to discern your presence. Our hearts do not always burn within us as we hear your Word. We forget to invite you to walk with us daily, and as a result the forward progress of our faith journey stalls. So, now in humility we come to you seeking your forgiveness for our all of our shortcomings. Mercifully grant us release from all our sins and restore us to the joy of your salvation. Amen
(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Christ died for us.
Christ lives for us.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Preparation For Worship (Reading before service for quiet meditation)

There are three main actions involved in walking with God. First, we must have faith and trust in Him: “We walk in faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Secondly, we must have communion and fellowship with Him. Fellowship with God also demands intimately speaking and listening to Him through prayer and reading of His Revealed Word and will. A third necessary element of walking with God is obedience. One cannot walk with God and live in sin. The overall pattern of our lives must be pleasing to God. In Genesis we learn that one of the ancients and father to Methuselah, Enoch, lived for 365 years faithfully walking with God. Chapter 11 of Hebrews adds to the narrative by telling us that “because of his great faithfulness Enoch bypassed death and was transported directly to heaven: “By faith he was taken up so that he should not see death”. God’s children today may not receive such an unusual gift, but our ultimate reward is still the same. Those who believe in Christ and walk with God can anticipate the blessing of being transported into His presence and receiving the gift of eternal life.
