Assurance Of Forgiveness
God's grace is all we need. Divine power comes to full strength in our weakness. Friends, believe the Good News!
In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Amen.

Affirmation Of Faith “The Confession of 1967” (9.35-9.37)
Wherever the church exists, its members are both gathered in corporate life and dispersed in society for the sake of mission in the world. The church gathers to praise God, to hear his word for mankind, to baptize and to join in the Lord's Supper, to pray for and present the world to him in worship, to enjoy fellowship, to receive instruction, strength, and comfort, to order and organize its own corporate life, to be tested, renewed, and reformed, and to speak and act in the world's affairs as may be appropriate to the needs of the time. The church disperses to serve God wherever its members are, at work or play, in private or in the life of society. Their prayer and Bible study are part of the church's worship and theological reflection. Their witness is the church's evangelism. Their daily action in the world is the church in mission to the world. The quality of their relation with other persons is the measure of the church's fidelity.

Words of Greeting
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And also with you.
Prayer For Illumination
God of mercy, you promised never to break your covenant with us. Amid all the changing words of our generation, may we hear your eternal word that does not change. Then may we respond to your gracious promises with faithful and obedient lives; through our risen Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Call to Worship (Based on 1 Peter 2:4-5 & 9)
Come to Jesus, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight.
Like living stones, let us be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people,
In order that we may proclaim the mighty acts of God who called us out
of darkness into his marvelous light.
Let us worship God!

Prayer Of Confession
Sovereign God, our ambitions do not always coincide with your priorities. We may be too concerned about the beauty of our place of worship and too little about the beauty of our lives and relationships with others. We need the mark of your grace upon us, your people, as well as a visible sanctuary for your worship. Forgive us if we are more jealous of the dignity of our name rather than yours. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

(Silent prayer of personal confession.)
Call To Confession
The sacrifice acceptable to God is a humble spirit; a broken and contrite heart God will not despise. In the full assurance of faith, let us confess our sin before God:
Charge
Go forth into God’s world in peace, to live a life worthy of your calling, giving glory to God in all things.
Thanks be to God!

Prayers of the People
(Prayer requests are listed at the end of the bulletin.)
Prayer of Dedication
Holy God, we thank you for the abundance of the blessings you pour out upon us daily. We have returned a portion of what you have first given us for the furtherance of your church’s mission in the world. Bless these gifts, and us in your continued service, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Benediction
May the God of peace make you holy in every way and keep your whole being— spirit, soul, and body— free from every fault at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Alleluia! Amen.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Preparation for Worship (Reading before  service for quiet meditation)
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking of the temple of his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.
(John 2:19-22 NRSV)
Song Of Assurance

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be.
World without end. Amen, Amen.
Special Music - “I Love to Tell the Story"
Praise Band
I love to tell the story of unseen things above:
of Jesus and his glory, of Jesus and his love.
I love to tell the story because I know ’tis true.
It satisfies my longings as nothing else could do.
I love to tell the story! It’ll be my theme in glory.
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.

I love to tell the story. More wonderful it seems,
than all the golden fancies of all my golden dreams.
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me,
and that is just the reason, I tell it now to thee.
I love to tell the story! It’ll be my theme in glory.
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best.
Seem hungering and thirsting, to hear it, like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing a new, new song.
It’ll be the old, old story that I have loved so long.
I love to tell the story! It’ll be my theme in glory.
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.
Of Jesus and his love.
