Meet our Pastor!
David is a native of Minnesota. Due to his father's career moves, he lived in a number of Midwest cities and towns while growing up. Following high school he attended the University of  Dubuque in Iowa. He originally intended to pursue a theological education at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (UDTS) following undergraduate studies, but a number of experiences led to other pursuits.
He married his college sweetheart, Carol, (pictured below) on July 2, 1977. They have two sons, Christian and Evan. Following College, David spent 15 years in the business world. Most of those years were spent in the truck transportation business. Pursuing various  opportunities, he and Carol found themselves living in Dubuque & Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Monmouth, Illinois.
He was ordained an Elder while a member at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Monmouth, Illinois and spent his time on the Session serving as the chair of the Stewardship and Finance Committees. Then, in 1992, David answered the call of God to attend seminary and pursue a vocation in ministry.

With family in tow, David  attended UDTS. He also served as the student pastor at Harmony United Church of Christ in Zwingle, Iowa. Following graduation, he was ordained on June 16, 1996 and accepted the call extended by First Presbyterian Church in Farmington, Illinois  where he served for a little more than seven years. In 2003 David accepted the call extended by   Memorial Presbyterian Church in Dayton, Indiana where he served for 6 years before moving to Melbourne to serve at Pineda in October 2009.

In addition to all the reading that ministry requires, David enjoys reading David McCullough books. Currently he is reading "Mornings on Horseback" which is McCullough's biography of Theodore Roosevelt. David really enjoys trap shooting, target shooting, fishing and walking on Brevard's beautiful beaches with his wife.
