Our Core Beliefs
† The Trinity - God exists in the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
† Christ - Christ is the son of God, the revealer of God's needed love and grace, and the Savior of humanity.
† Salvation - Through God's love and grace we gain the faith necessary for healing, reconciliation and life eternal.
† There is an inseparable connection between faith and practice, truth and service. We are happy to share the fullness of our beliefs with those who want to know more about the doctrine to which we ascribe.
We Also Believe...
† God created the heavens and the earth and made human beings in the image of God, charging them to care for all that lives. God made men and women to live in community, responding to their Creator with grateful obedience.
† God was incarnate in Jesus Christ, who announced good news to the poor; came to seek and save the lost; in his life and death for others God's redeeming love for all people was made visible; and in the life of Jesus Christ we have the assurance of God's victory over sin and death and the promise of God's continuing presence in the world.
† God's redeeming and reconciling activity in the world continues through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, who confronts individuals and societies with Christ's Lordship of life and calls them to repentance and to the obedience of the will of God.
† The Church is called to be a sign in and for the world of the new reality that God has made available to people in Jesus Christ, where; Sin is forgiven, Reconciliation is accomplished and the dividing wall of hostility is torn down.
† The great ends of the church are: the proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of divine worship, the preservation of the truth; the promotion of social righteousness; and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.
Welcoming New Members:
† As we invite new members into the life of our congregation, we ask that they profess their faith by responding to these questions.
† Trusting in the gracious mercy of God, do you turn from the ways of sin and renounce evil and its power in the world?
† Do you turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as your Lord and Savior, trusting in his grace and love?
† Will you be Christ's faithful disciple, obeying his Word and showing his love?
